Two friends, two coffees, two cheese danishes, one mini-van, and no kids, equals a:
(Is it still considered a road trip when you're only traveling 70 miles?)
This past weekend was extra special as it took two friends on a little road trip to the amazing Vintage Marketplace in Fallbrook, California.
We left at 8 am, and after a quick trip to Starbucks Kate and I were on our way! We arrived right after the show opened, and the weather couldn't have been better.
One of our very first stops was to visit the uber talented Rose, of The Tarnished Crown. Rose makes THE most beautiful pillows! (which of course I didn't get a photo of). She was sweet enough to take a picture of us, careful to include the gorgeous chandy in the background!
There were so many incredible things to see.
Ok, raise your hand if you love Jack as much as I do! This little beauty made it's way home with me.
This one really wanted to come along too (but sadly she was left behind).
Both chairs were made by Rose as well.
I spied a beautiful farm table topped with reclaimed wood. Positively drool-worthy!
Every good junkin' girl needs a little bling, but it took some serious self-control not to bring these lovlies home with me.
We were drooling over this piece - the table top is a reclaimed cabinet door!
Union Jack forever! The other treasure (and a real steal!) that came home with me.
This one is for Kristen: It's a cute little tree made from vintage book pages and sheet music! I have a feeling you may be seeing a repro on her blog in the coming weeks!
We just adored the juxtaposition of this table, with beveled glass sitting atop a rusty frame.
This one reminded me of Kate's precious Gracie, who had quite an affinity for peace signs a while back. These are made from 100 year old tin ceiling tiles.
This just about says it all, doesn't it?
The entrance to the marketplace was set up for an amazing photo-op, so of course we had to take advantage.
Only think missing was our girl Kristen. We were wishing we could have beamed her in from Idaho!
Oh look, there she is! (with, of course, her adorable Ella).
(Next time she'll have to actually be in the picture, instead of photo-shopped in)
It was just what I needed, lots of girl talk, and lots of vintage junk. What a great day!
There is a super exciting giveaway coming up in a couple of days...be sure to follow along using any of the options in our sidebar. Trust me, you will not want to miss out!
